Congratulations to the 22 groups who picked olives this year – a record 1470 kilos were picked . . . . amounting in 176 litres of oil!

 

Some nice wintery activities coming up in June – from story telling to kindness rocks, book exchanges to baking lessons, plus the annual winter solstice bonfire and a clothes swap. Read below for more info and text the coordinator to RSVP

 

Story Telling Night with Tim

May 9th 6.30pm at Ecoburbia

There is sure to be lots of laughs and maybe a few tears as we share real stories from our lives Come along to this night whether you have a story to tell, or you just like listening to true life stories. Kindness Rock Painting with Shani

May 24th Drop in 3-5pm at Ecoburbia

Drop in to Ecoburbia anytime between 3- 5pm and make a “kindness rock”. You will have fun decorating a rock and then deciding where you might like to hide it or who you would like to gift it to. All materials provided. This one is for all ages. RSVP to Shani 0417 941 991

Bring a fabulous find on the shelves at the Op Shop or a favourite from your own library, but firstly wrap it in brown paper, or something colourful, decorate and mark with a few words too giving a hint of the title.  The treasures will be revealed individually and we will be asked to give a short explanation on why we have chosen to share this with other bookworms. A Basic Baking Lesson with Belinda and Eve

Come and learn more about baking from past winners of the Great WBB Bake Off. You will go away with lots of secrets – especially how to make the perfect shortbread and nail pastry that is sure to impress your family.

 

Winter Solstice Bonfire with Kate, Kelly, Amelia and Darcy

Sun June 21s 5pm at the end of Milbourne Street       

Come and gather and the Milbourne Street culdesac for our annual Winter Solstice Bonfire. Please bring your own meal to cook on the fire (not shared this year) and s’mores for dessert. Tim and Shani will have some jaffle irons there if you want to use them.

Bring your own camp chair. Campfire musicians are most welcome   

 

The Great Clothes Swap with Michaela

Sat June 27th 6.30pm Delamere Lane      

Have you ever been to a clothes swap? It's great fun. First go through your wardrobe and pull out all those things that don't fit, you never wear or you just don't like any more. Put them all in a box and bring it along. We put all the clothes out on big tables and you get to sort through and see if there is anything you like - like a huge 50% off sale but no money needed! Bring your drinks and some snacks to share RSVP by text to Michaela 0410707060

The Honey Bunch Bunchers and Friends’ Social Choir

Every second Thursday night 6pm – 7.30pm
